Ack! How is it April already! March went by sooooo fast, like how–
Ahem. Anyway.
Welcome to another Month In Review! March has been chaotic but also relaxing, so let’s check out what I was up to this month!
Life Updates
- discovered Barnes and Noble as the best place to write books with my sister!
- went thrifting and found the cutest clothes.
- had the craziest conversations with coworkers, and have found out that many of us may be truly insane. I don’t think I’ve laughed this much in my life lol
- went to an amusement park with my family! I used to have so much anxiety going to parks like this (I hate roller coasters with drops and stuff), but this time was so nice and I wasn’t that scared at all! I found many new rides that I liked and my family got very good at charades π€ͺ
- went tulip picking with my mom and sister!
- took a walk on the beach and collected seashells with the fam π
- put sunglasses on a pony and yes, it was hilarious.
- the wisteria is blooming!! π

Writing
I’ve had writers block pretty much the whole month unfortunately. I tried to start a new project… but I’m starting to hate the storyline and the characters. I spontaneously started a random rom-com, but I have no intent to publish it or write much more of it anyway.
I think I’m going to return to As Sure As The Snow Falls while I wait for another idea. It needs some major revisions… but it’s got a promising storyline and I love the characters. When I left off with it, I wanted it to be a trilogy, but now I think it would be best as a novella. We’ll see where it takes me!
Reading
I finished three books this month! Dating and Dragons, Dungeons and Drama, and Your Story Has A Villain. I also bought far too many books and I have so many on my bookshelf. I’ve started Defy The Night and I’m around halfway through You’re Not Enough (And That’s Okay). I re-discovering my love for reading and it’s so refreshing.
Near the end of the month I accepted more hours at work, so I haven’t had enough time to make much headway in my current reads. At this point, Sunday is my only free day that I don’t have other responsibilities like work or school. So we’ll see how many books I can finish in April!
Music
For lent this year, I gave up any music that’s not Christian (and Starbucks, but that’s not relevant). This forced me to find some new artists that I liked. I made a new playlist for when I drive to work, and I would highly recommend any of these songs π
- Yesterday Is Dead by Josiah Queen
- whisper and the wind – remix by bodie and Gracie Binion
- RIP by bodie
- GOD DID by bodie
- flowers dressed in blue by Strings and Heart
- What I Was Made For by Rend Collective
- Unstoppable God by Elevation Worship
- sunset silhouette by Strings and Heart
- Get Behind Me by Emerson Day
- YOUR WAY’S BETTER by Forrest Frank
For Next Month…
I want to read more, and write more! Hopefully I’ll start on ASATSF‘s second draft. We also have a snowboarding trip planned for April and I can’t wait!!
Thank you so much for reading! Have a blessed day!
