In my last post, I promised a synopsis for my new WIP.

Well, turns out I had no idea what a synopsis is. Turns out, what I was really promising was a blurb.

And I wrote it!

It’s just a first draft, and it will definitely be re-written hundreds of times before it goes on the back of the book. It’s a little short now, and a little vague, and I don’t love the word choice, but I literally wrote it five minutes ago.

So enjoy!

All Cassidy wants to do is forget.
Ever since her parents divorced when she was seven, she knew she wanted to run away from it all. The pain. The abuse. The fear.
Tennessee is her destination. Passion is her fuel. Money stands in the way.
When Cassie is presented with the opportunity of a lifetime, starring in an up and coming movie, she must choose between staying on the path she’s created for herself and jumping into a completely new environment.
Along the way, she meets Jason Hawk, her mysterious co-star who is more like her than she thinks, and Shane Johnson, a charming man from the South who has an unexplainable hope about him.
As Cassidy is greeted with new challenges left and right, she is tormented by hopelessness. She may find that the very thing she was running from is the thing she is running to.

There it is! Again, really vague and I’m 100% re-writing it at some point. But, it does give you the jest of what Small Town Star is about (also, the title is tentative as well, so don’t judge).

That’s a pretty good blurb for writing it up on the fly!
