I think I say this every month, but this time I mean it…
HOW IS IT DECEMBER ALREADY?!
Honestly! I literally can’t believe it.
November was such a wonderfully cozy month. It rained a bit this past week, and even though I had to work a full day while soaking wet, it made it feel like fall. But now it’s almost Christmas! WHAT?!
Life Updates
- We made it home from our road trip safe and sound, praise God! It was so much fun and so refreshing to be off work. All in all, we drove through ten states. Seeing the different parts of America was incredible and beautiful. However, I am so happy to be home again.
- The day after we got home, I was invited to my old school’s fall formal dance. It was western themed (which was right up my alley, I even had an outfit ready to go). It was really fun to be able to see my friends again. They had some line dancing and a photo booth as well.
- I went back to work! It was great to see everyone again. Believe it or not (I certainly couldn’t) I was missed! Or at least, it sounded like it. Some of my co-workers actually kept tract of how long I was gone and realized I was gone longer than I had told them. 🥹 My first day back, one of my co-workers came up to me and yelled, “I thought you were dead!”. One of the shift leads even told me some people asked if I had quit. Anyway, it was nice to know I was missed.
- I bought more cozy sweaters 😍
- STARBUCKS HAS CHRISTMAS DRINKS NOW!
- I finally got out of my reading slump (kinda)!
- We had our family over for Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful.
- Look out Spotify, here comes my Christmas playlists…

Project Snow
Project Snow is now at 11,000 words 🥹
How? Just how?
I am now 62% of the way through the first draft, which is crazy. I’m writing Chapter Seven right now, and I’m planning for at least eleven chapters total. Every time I start to burn out, I remind myself that I’m almost done with my first draft EVER!
I’ve been feeling a little discouraged about the plot and my characters, but I keep reminding myself that this is only the first draft, and I can change all I want in draft two. Already, I know that the second draft is going to be drastically different than the first.
Here’s a little quote from Kye’s POV:
I glanced up at the clouds, pregnant with snow. Tomorrow was the Twin Moons Festival, and yet I doubted that this blizzard would be content to wait twenty-four hours before ridding itself of its heavy burden. Nature was an unforgiving force.
Could someone who controlled it be worthy of trust?
So mysterious!!
Reading
Besides The Shadow Queen by C. J. Redwine (which I mentioned in my October post), I haven’t finished anything. However, a few months back I bought a book called Matched by Ally Condie at a local bookstore, but I DNF it because it is very slow in the beginning. I picked it up last week and decided to give it another go. So we shall see if I finish it this month!
Music
Lots of Forrest Frank Christmas songs! They’re so chill and perfect 🤌
I’m loving Man On The Moon by Megan Moroney, Me To Me by Morgan Wallen, Cowboy Scale Of One To Ten by Cody Johnson, and (as always), Pickup Man and John Deere Green by Joe Diffie.
Also, I discovered the Christian artist gio. Can I just say, wow! I LOVE his song grand prix!
For Next Month…
This time, I’m going to finish Project Snow for real! I know I said it last month, but I’m pretty sure I can get it done this month.
I want to finish Matched, and I have quite a few books on my Christmas list that I hoping to get!
Aaaaand, as soon as I can, I’m going shopping for Christmas decorations for my new room!
Thank you for reading! How was your month?
Have a blessed day!
